Dr Jin Gan

Dr Jin graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2006 with a Bachelor of Dental Science. Upon graduation, she worked for Queensland Health for a year before moving into private practice. She spent her early career servicing country and coastal Queensland before calling Brisbane home more than ten years ago.

Dr Jin continues to witness the devastating impact of dental phobia on patients and has found a gap in services for patients requiring dental treatment under general anaesthesia. Having personally chosen to be put to sleep for the removal of her wisdom teeth, Dr Jin understands the need and importance of this service. She has worked alongside medical teams in hospitals for more than 15 years, and is highly experienced in the management and care of patients requiring dental treatment under general anaesthesia. Dr Jin has also been involved as a mentor in The University of Queensland's dental school, and has special interest in the fields of dental extractions and immediate dentures.

In addition to her degree in dentistry, Dr Jin has also attained a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree and is actively involved in committees of the Australian Dental Association at both state and federal levels.

"I understand dental treatment can be daunting or impossible in a typical dental setting for many reasons. Patients have said that their fear of the dentist has led to things getting to a state where they are in constant pain, too embarrassed to smile or even worried that the dentist will judge them. I am here to discuss your concerns and treatment options without judgement, carry out treatment while you are put to sleep, and strive for a smile that you can be happy with."
